CAIDA generally considers two levels of sponsorship: Affiliate and Sponsor. Typical two-year agreements are described below, but terms, cost and benefits are negotiable.

1. Affiliate -- $15,000 ($7,500 annually)
   
   • Affiliates are entitled to the following benefits:
     • access to Internet data collected by CAIDA (subject to Acceptable Use Policy for each type of data);
     • early access to CAIDA's program plan and select publications;
     • participation of a representative at select CAIDA-sponsored Internet Statistics and Metrics Analysis (ISMA) workshops;
     
     
   • Affiliates also may participate in select research efforts and traffic measurement activities that are part of the CAIDA Program Plan. The level and conditions of this participation must be determined and agreed upon in advance.
   
   We encourage commercial research and educational organizations, small businesses, and non-profits to become CAIDA affiliates.
   
   
2. Member -- $50,000 ($25,000 annually)
   
   • Members receive the Affiliate benefits (see above) plus the ability to send a participant to any ISMA Workshops;
   
   We encourage medium-sized companies, international and governmental research and educational organizations, and non-profits to support the rigorous curation and stewardship of Internet data at CAIDA by joining as Members.
   
   
3. Sponsor -- $200,000 ($100,000 annually)
   
   • Sponsors receive the Member benefits (see above) plus the ability to send participants to any ISMA Workshops;
   • Sponsors may designate a special project of interest to them to be included into the CAIDA Program Plan.
   
   Large companies are encouraged to support the world-class Internet research at CAIDA by joining as Sponsors.
