Background
In addition to work on Internet workload
characterization and locality analysis, Sean had spent a large amount of time debugging IP multicast routing problems at UCSD/SDSC/CAIDA
and in the vBNS. He was also responsible for design and implementation of CAIDA's test lab and router operations. His interests lie in the
domain of Internet routing, especially BGP convergence and stability and alternatives to shortest-path interdomain routing. Sean received his
Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master's degree in Astrophysics from the University of
Colorado. After a quick look at the job market, he went back for a second Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of
Colorado, and is still trying to avoid employment in the real world.
